👉Half Day of School – Tuesday, May 19, 2026
Shonto Preparatory School will operate on a half‑day schedule on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. This adjustment allows the school district to participate in a COGNIA Orientation Session as we begin formal preparation for the 2027–2028 Accreditation Cycle.
This orientation is a key first step toward strengthening our continuous improvement, aligning with COGNIA Performance Standards, and supporting academic excellence for all students.
Student Release Time:
⏰Shonto Preparatory School (K–12): 12:00 PM
⏰Residential Program: Midday schedule will follow standard early‑release procedures
⏰Transportation: Buses will run immediately following student release

Shonto Prep issued an Early Release due to a fire alarm technicality. Students will be released at 12:30 PM. Building is currently closed and bus students will be boarding at the cafeteria. Walk-in students will be picked up at the front of K-8 building. Please do not crowd the bus lineup at the cafeteria and wait for your child at K-8.

SPTHS Student Council are seeking donations for our upcoming Easter Egg Hunt on April 8, 2026! We are looking for individually wrapped candy, empty or pre-filled plastic eggs, small toys, and prizes. Donations can be dropped off at the SPTHS High School front office.
